The Burnaby Steelers are pleased to announce the signings of 2008-born forwards Tyson Osterberg and Owen Corscadden both joining the Steelers from the Langley Hockey Academy.
Osterberg (Abbotsford, BC) put up 16 goals and seven assists for 23 points with the 17U Academy team while also going on to register an assist in his lone game with 18U. Listed at 5’10” and 137 lbs., the right-shot forward is expected to bring a combination of speed, skill and a competitive edge to the Steelers.
Corscadden (Langley, BC) spent the past year at the 18U level where he notched four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 27 games. Measuring 5’9” and weighing 134 lbs., the left-shot product has proved he can play with pace and create offensive opportunities.
“We’re very excited to welcome Tyson and Owen to the Burnaby Steelers. Both players bring a great combination of speed, skill and competitiveness, and they have the ability to make an impact every time they’re on the ice,” said Steelers General Manager Craig Carter.
“They’re both hungry to compete and continue developing, and we believe they’ll be great additions to our group. We’re looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish in a Steelers uniform,” he added.
The Burnaby Steelers would like to extend a warm welcome to the Osterberg and Corscadden families.
The Steelers open the 2026-2027 season in Langley on Saturday, September 19. The team plays their home opener on Sunday, September 20.
